The U.S.- Africa Business Summit is CCA’s annual signature high-level event where U.S. and African private sector and Government representatives engage in key sectors including agribusiness, energy, health, infrastructure, trade facilitation, ICT and finance. At these Summits, stakeholders network, explore new business opportunities and meet potential business partners; as well as promote U.S. Africa business and advocate to shape effective U.S.-Africa trade and investment policies.
Over the 30 years of CCA’s existence, the Summit has convened investors, entrepreneurs, financiers and Government officials from Africa, the United States and beyond to forge partnerships, discuss challenges, find solutions, and expand existing investments in the U.S. and African markets. Since the first Summit in 1997, CCA has hosted 46 Heads of State, and averages 1,000 attendees from 40 countries at each Summit. Of the past 13 Summits, Botswana will be the fifth African country to host it on the continent in 2023. Previous hosts include South Africa – 2007, Ethiopia – 2016, Mozambique – 2019 and Morocco – 2022.
The U.S.-Africa Business Summit has been held biannually beginning in 1998 with the venues alternating between the U.S. and Africa.
2023 U.S.-African Business Summit
Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) in partnership with the Government of Botswana will host the U.S.-Africa Business Summit on July 11-14, 2023 in Gaborone, Botswana. The Summit will bring together more than 1,000 U.S. and African public and private sector participants, including African Heads of State, U.S. and African Ministers and senior government officials, private sector executives and entrepreneurs, international investors, and multilateral stakeholders.
Our objective is to build on the momentum of the successful December 2022 U.S.- Africa Leaders Summit and Business Forum, providing the opportunity to once again connect government and private sector decision makers who are advancing the U.S.-Africa trade, investment, and business relationship.
