AMA Technical Committees & AU Model Law Implementation: A Briefing with the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority

We are pleased to invite you to the next virtual session of CCA’s U.S.-Africa Health Security and Resilience Initiative (HSRI) Regulatory Harmonization Series, featuring Dr. Boitumelo Semete-Makokotlela, CEO of the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority.

Dr. Semete-Makokotlela will share insights from her leadership at SAHPRA and engagement with the African Medicines Agency’s technical committees, including progress on implementing the African Union (AU) Model Law on Medical Products Regulation and broader efforts to advance regulatory reform at the national level. The discussion will also explore how industry can engage constructively to support these efforts.

This series provides CCA members and stakeholders an opportunity to hear directly from African regulatory leaders, exchange insights, and explore practical pathways to strengthen regulatory systems and expand access to quality health products across Africa.
