ICT/Cybersecurity

The Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) plays a pivotal role in fostering U.S.–Africa partnerships that drive the digitalization agenda across the African continent. Addressing challenges from access issues and socio-economic and gender disparities in ICT utilization to the development of cross-continental policies and regulations, CCA is committed to harnessing the power of transformative technologies for mutual benefit. By aligning with the U.S. government's new 'Digital Initiative with Africa' and the African Union's 'Digital Transformation Strategy for Africa (2020-2030),' CCA is at the forefront of supporting Africa's potential for technological innovation. This innovation not only taps into the continent's entrepreneurial spirit but also promotes the transparent delivery of services by both government and the private sector.

CCA's involvement in advancing the digital agenda in Africa spans significant events and collaborations, including our signature U.S.-Africa Business Summits and the role as a co-organizer of the U.S.-Africa Business Forum during the December 2022 U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit. Through these platforms, and in dedicated sector-focused events, CCA facilitates critical dialogues and partnerships that propel the ICT and cybersecurity sectors forward. Our U.S. and African member companies, actively engaged in the ICT/cyber sector, contribute to the development of innovative solutions and intellectual engagement that expand the possibilities for B2B and B2G collaboration. These efforts are aimed at implementing practical solutions that benefit Africa, fostering a landscape where technology serves as a cornerstone for development, economic growth, and enhanced service delivery.
