Corporate Council on Africa Update on 13thU.S.-Africa Business SummitThank you for your interest in CCA’s 13thU.S.-Africa Business Summit scheduled to take place in Marrakech, Morocco, on June 9-12, 2020.While the Summit is still some three months away,we would like to assure you that our priority at CCA is ensuring the health and safety of our staff, members, speakers, attendees and stakeholders.In collaboration with our co-host, the Government of Morocco, CCA is closely monitoring health and safety updates and recommendations related to coronavirus (COVID-19) issued by local, national, and global public health authorities, including:World Health Organization (WHO)U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)Moroccan Ministry of HealthU.S. State Department’s Travel AdvisoryAs of today, we still hope to convene the U.S.-Africa Business Summit as planned on June 9-12, 2020, in Marrakech, Morocco. However, due to the rapidly changing nature of the COVID-19 pandemic and preventive measures being put in place by countries, airlines, businesses, and global health officials, CCA and its partners are re-assessing our current plans and exploring options for postponing the Summit to a later date in 2020.We will, of course, keep you updated on any new developments regarding plans for the 13thU.S.-Africa Business Summit.We urge everyone to stay safe and informed during this period. In addition, we encourage you to follow regular CDC and WHO guidance for everyday preventive actions to help curtail the spread of COVID-19.
