Cote d’Ivoire Visit
In July, the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) was honored to participate in a series of high-level engagements in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, reinforcing our commitment to advancing U.S.-Africa trade and investment.
CCA President and CEO Florie Liser participated in the Government Consultative Conference on Côte d'Ivoire's National Development Plan 2026-2030 and joined the U.S. delegation at the Financing Côte d'Ivoire National Development Plan Conference. During the visit, she attended a reception co-hosted by U.S. Chargé d'AffairesJunaid Munir and Ambassador of Côte d'Ivoire to the United States Ibrahima Touré, highlighting the strong partnership between our two countries.
CCA leadership, including Board Chair John Olajide, Board Member Mina Nedelcovych, and President and CEO Florie Liser, met with H.E. Robert Beugré Mambé, Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire, alongside U.S. Chargé d'Affaires Junaid Munir, to discuss strengthening U.S.-Côte d'Ivoire commercial relations and the possibility of Côte d'Ivoire hosting a future U.S.-Africa Business Summit.
The delegation also met with Mr. Junaid Munir and the U.S. Embassy economic team to discuss opportunities to expand U.S. private sector investment across key sectors, including ICT, infrastructure, energy, financial services, and health.
CCA also engaged with regional business leaders, including Mr. Ahmed Cissé, President of the Confédération Générale des Entreprises de Côte d'Ivoire (CGECI), to explore new partnerships that will promote greater U.S. business engagement and investment in Côte d'Ivoire. In addition, Florie Liser met with H.E. Ambassador Kayode Are of Nigeria to discuss expanding U.S.-Nigeria commercial ties and strengthening collaboration to advance trade and investment across the region.
These productive discussions underscore CCA's mission to connect U.S. and African public and private sector leaders, catalyze investment opportunities, and strengthen partnerships that drive sustainable economic growth across Africa.
