Meeting with H.E. Ambassador Lateef Kayode Are

Corporate Council on Africa(CCA) was pleased to host H.E. Ambassador Lateef Kayode Are,Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the United States, at CCA'sWashington, D.C. office for an engaging discussion with CCA members onstrengthening U.S.-Nigeria economic and commercial relations.

CCA President and CEO FlorieLiser welcomedAmbassador Are and thanked him for meeting with CCA members to discussNigeria's economic priorities, investment climate, and opportunities forexpanding bilateral trade and investment.

During his remarks, AmbassadorAre commended CCA for its longstanding commitment to advancing U.S.-Africatrade and investment and for the important role it has played in supportingeconomic growth across the continent. He shared his vision for deepeningU.S.-Nigeria business partnerships by fostering greater confidence amonginvestors and addressing barriers that can hinder investment, includingmisconceptions and outdated perceptions of Nigeria's business environment.

Ambassador Are emphasized theimportance of promoting two-way partnerships that create shared value for bothcountries. He also highlighted the significant role that the Nigerian diasporacan play in advancing trade, investment, innovation, and stronger economic andpolitical ties between Nigeria and the United States.

The meeting provided CCAmembers with an opportunity to discuss their business interests in Nigeria,exchange ideas, and explore opportunities for collaboration with the Embassyand Nigerian stakeholders.
